“But some things are not forgivable. Deliberate cruelty is not forgivable! It is the one unforgivable thing, in my opinion, and the one thing of which I have never, never been guilty” (Blanche 126). When a person undergoes a negative or traumatic experience, it has the possibility of having a lasting harmful influence on your life. This is evident in the modern drama Street Car Named Desire through the actions and events that surrounded the character Blanche Dubois, as well as my own experience. This includes the suicide of her young husband Allan, the sexual abuse she had received from another character in the play (Stanley Kowalski) and finally my own personal experience of losing my dog.
The first example that
