First I considered changes from adding the role of OTD student to my life. The negative cycle included an imbalance in roles and habits, and the positive cycle included embracing learning with immediate application to my area of practice. I identified strengths and weaknesses within all three subsystems. Within the Volitional system, I identified strengths as a desiring to learn, being intelligent, and having goals for teaching in the future. Also, I am internally motivated to do all things well. My identified weaknesses included not having been a student in over 30 years which caused feelings of incompetence and concerns regarding the ability to complete the program. Next, strengths within my habituations system included being organized, seeking resources, and collaborating with peers. My weaknesses included feeling overwhelmed and allowing routines to become off-centered giving too much time to the student role. Finally, my Mind-brain-body strengths included being healthy and able-bodied to complete occupational performances. …show more content…
Interventions focused on increasing organization, finding more supporting resources and monitoring performance. The first intervention focused on the Volitional subsystem emphasizing personal motivators for completing OTD program including, desire to teach, understanding that I am competent and worthy of being a part of the OTD program. The only weakness I have is adapting to change. I never knew I had this kind of trouble in life, but I learned about something I have to work on. After analyzing it I realize it is a problem. Because I get nervous when I start something new or when I get stuck doing something I cannot do, I start to get frustrated. After learning this about myself, I need to work on making my weakness into strength by adapting to any type of changes in my life. My strengths included following instructions and adhering to values. I am very good when I have instructions in front of me as I build something new or when I have an assignment. Following instructions is my biggest strength in my life because it is something I use every day. Adhering to values is something new that I learned about myself just because I never noticed it in my life. I am the type of person who will stand by the truth in every situation around my.…

Another idea of success that Happy and Biff embodied from Willy was materialism, the urge to claim as many material things as they can. During Happy and Biffs childhood they observed how Willy got in dues and stole many material things just so he could feel successful. It came to the point in which he had his sons steal for him just so he can feel more empowered over things, and since Happy and Biff were growing around that idea they started to embody it. For instance, as happy got older he was just like his dad, had all the material things he wanted, even the women, but still felt empty. And its not until Biff asks Happy why he's not content with his life since he has all the material things he wanted, and Happy responds to Biff by saying " it’s what I always wanted. My own apartment, a car, plenty of women, and still, goddamnit, I’m lonely. (Act 1)". In other words, this shows how even though he had all the material things he ever wanted, he still didn’t feel happy and successful, because he wanted more.…
