A sore throat (pharyngitis) is a common problem and usually is caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Sore throat usually resolves on its own without complications in adults, although it is important to know when to seek medical attention.
Strep Throat

They automatically know that its strep throat. But in other cases it could be multiple things as in Scarlet fever, sinus infections, and Pneumonia. Scarlet fever is another form of strep throat, it’s a disease caused by an infection with bacteria in the group strep throat. It has the same symptoms of strep throat but scarlet fever gives a rash on the human body skin, that’s how they can tell the different between the two. Scarlet fever is also tested with cultured test as well. It is most common for younger children and baby’s verses in adults. Sinus infections are simpler to the both of them but not as severe. It has all the symptoms but even more severe symptoms. So that’s why they do that cultured test, to tell what it is because it can be multiple things going on with the back of the human throat. A culture test is when the health care provider, doctors swab the back of the throat to see rather their positive or negative for the infection. With the other bacterial infections, they use other tests to detect the problem. Strep throat lead to other inflammatory illnesses that’s more serious which are scarlet fever, kidney problems and heart issues. That’s if strep throat is not treated, it could lead to those things. Most sore throats are caused by viruses, not bacteria. Strep throat is treated with antibiotics only if the culture test is positive, the health care provider or doctors looked in the back of the throat for the little pus pocket, confirmation that the bacteria is present. The antibiotics are taken to prevent those serious health problems that can lead to damages of the human organs in the
