Strong Bones, Healthy Body Targeted Solutions for Osteoporosis
In Strong Bones, Healthy Body Targeted Solutions for Osteoporosis, Elias (2013) began by noting the importance of recognizing that Osteoporosis is a growing medical problem. Elias (2013) stated that 44 million Americans, young and old males and females, are estimated to have some level of Osteoporosis. Elias (2013) goes on to say that with age, the ability to restore bone tissue and our bone mineral density declines, and as a result our bones become brittle and weak. Elias (2013) further describes that bisphosphonates, a highly common medication used for Osteoporosis, leads to very serious complications after long periods of use and urges people to look for natural alternatives. To prevent and reverse Osteoporosis, Elias (2013) highly recommends exercising, taking balanced minerals like calcium and magnesium, vitamin K, D, and R, following a healthy diet, and maintaining stress levels low with meditation. Elias (2013) describes that it is also extremely important that our bodies absorb nutrients correctly. Elias (2013) recommends boron, and herbs and botanicals like cinnamon, pepper fruit, ginger root, and pomegranate seed, among others to assist with digestion and nutrient absorption. Finally, Elias (2013) concludes that the best way to attend to and reverse Osteoporosis, and many other common diseases, is by maintaining an overall healthy life style.
