“The Meeting” The room is silent other than the steady hum of the air conditioner. Businessmen and location supervisors all sit around a large rectangular table, waiting for the man in charge. There is a projector screen at the head of the table with an opening slide displayed. It reads “Monthly Safety meeting” in plain black text on a white background. A few of the men lean back in their chairs and relax. Two start a casual conversation. Even in the silence of the room I cannot understand them because they are mumbling so quietly. It’s an early Monday morning, and everyone is still a little drowsy from the weekend.…

So I decided to interview him so I could learn more about his childhood and how he grew up.…

My results for the work interest assessments were social, investigative, and conventional. Social has to do with helping people. Social people tend to prefer working with others and taking on a team approach to dealing with problems. They typically get along well with other people and enjoy meeting new people in group settings. Investigative refers to thinking and problem solving. People in this category typically work in jobs that deal with science and the use of computers. Conventional relates to organization. People in the conventional category like to follow plans and be organized. Also, they tend to pay attention to small details.…

Throughout this novel there are a lot of characters worthy of comparing and contrasting, however I've decided to analyze Matsu, and Stephen relationship. The base of Matsu and Stephen relationship sort of reminds me of a George and Lennie relationship from the “Of Mice and Men Tale”, in which George carries around Lennie like a helpless pet by caring for him, guiding him through life, and bailing him out of the sticky situations he gets himself in.…

    * questionnaires that ask you about your likes and dislikes in a wide range of general activities. Your answers are used to develop a personal interest profile, which is then compared to the profiles of other students or to groups of people who are successfully employed in various occupations. A high level of similarity between your profile and the profiles of students in particular majors or people in particular jobs can give you some ideas of majors and careers to explore. The results of an interest inventory might even make you question whether you want to continue considering a major if you don't have any real interest in it. Interest inventories do not, however, tell you what you should or should not do or whether you have the skills and personality necessary to be successful in those majors or careers.…
