ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS |
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a number of people without whom this dissertation would not be possible.
To all the stakeholders involved who presented invaluable information on the tourism industry in Sabah, allowing me to conduct my research successfully.
My lecturers and fellow students whilst studying this Masters course have provided me with in-depth knowledge and insight into the tourism industry as well as continued support.
To my dissertation supervisor, Dr Samantha Chaperon, who has given me continued encouragement, a wealth of tourism expertise and a lower blood pressure due to her calming and encouraging advice: I thank you for all your help these past six months!
And last but definitely not least to my family. To the men in my life: my Dad who has supported me mentally and financially throughout my Masters degree and my two younger brothers whose intelligence makes me strive to be a better learner! Finally to my wonderful Mum who, as always, is my confidant, my rock and a wonderful proof reader! I don’t tell you often enough how much stronger you’ve made me.
