Social-Conflict Paradigm- assists researchers in focusing on the inequality in society. The inequalities studied often generate conflict as well as social change. maximum benefits.
Core questions: How does society divide a population? How do advantaged people protect their privileges? How do disadvantaged people challenge the system seeking change.
Symbolic-Interaction Paradigm- Tends to focus on the language and symbols that help us give meaning to the experiences in our daily life’s. Core questions: How do people experience society? How do people shape the reality they experience? How do behavior and meaning change from person to person and from one situation to another.
The one sociological paradigm that I can relate to the best is the symbolic-interaction approach, because.
I believe that people and experiences in my life have change the way I view this world. Growing up I thought I would end up going to school and getting my degree in Business Administration. However, it all changed when I saw one of my good friend go through the heart break of losing her daughter to Cancer. Seeing her go through the heartbreak, made me realize that I wanted to help and learn more about patients with Cancer. Without the interaction and the heartbreak of seeing my friend lose her daughter, I would have never had the will or motivation to return back to school and learn how I can help cancer
patients.
