ABSTRACT
School Information System (SIS) is an academic information system developed and implemented for a private school with a purpose to improve the efficiency of information retrieval for students, parents and school authority. One of the initial problems with SIS implementation was that it depended on the availability of computers and internet access. With slow internet connections, authentication process could be time consuming, especially if a website implements various external scripts to improve visual quality.
Due to these reasons, as well as the fact that BlackBerry is one of the most popular smartphones in
Indonesia, the developers decided to design a simpler but more powerful system that would resolve
Blackberry Mobile SIS problems. The mobile SIS was designed, implemented and evaluated to provide a perfect solution for problems related to ease-of-access. The Mobile SIS facilitates students and parents in obtaining academic information anytime, anywhere and without the need for repeated authentication, via
BlackBerry mobile connection. Mobile SIS also offers faster loading time relative to traditional website access. Using the push technology service, SIS could now provide students and parents in getting the latest information every time new information gets disseminated.

BlackBerry has always been known for its phone’s functionality, especially for those in the business world. Blackberry’s functionality allows it to be easily accessed by anyone with any sort of mobile phone background. With such a simple design and operating system, BlackBerry cannot perform as well as other phones such as that of Apples which has a multitude of applications with numerous capabilities that serve many purposes. Although the BlackBerry lacks in functionality, it is this fact that allows BlackBerry’s simplistic design to outshine others because in the world of business, the phone’s functions are only kept at the minimal needs of calling, texting and e-mailing which the BlackBerry does with ease.…

curity and essential business features. BlackBerry was the most reliable, secure and efficient communication device. By 2003, RIM was the innovation leader in the smartphone category, providing consumers with a no-frills way to surf and email. It was the perfect communication device, with its software and hardware made by RIM itself. By partnering with many global networks, BlackBerry made itself available to business customers everywhere. After its first mass marketing campaign in 2008, subscription skyrocketed, with the BlackBerry as the new “cool” gadget. BlackBerry has tried to keep up with the competition and add more consumers than business customers by giving their phones multimedia capabilities as well as adding models with touch screens and offering BB Messenger, but now it finds itself struggling to gain ground against Apple and Samsung.…

When Odysseus suddenly appeared to Nausicaa and her girls in a frightful, naked appearance, he had to quickly think of smart way to introduce himself and to assure Nausicaa that he mean no harm. He had to choose between either touching Nausicaa knees as was the custom for suppliant seeing help, or maintain his distance and find proper words to address Nausicaa of his need. Since the fact that he does not know the custom of those people who reside in the island and whether they are kind to strangers or not and the fact that he was strange and naked in front of Nausicaa, he decided to hold back and use sweet words to address Nausicaa. In a way of a man who knows how to address a girl and empress her, he appealed to Nausicaa flattering her by mentioning her beauty and comparing it to goddess’s beauty.…
