INTRODUCTION The student information system is to create an integrated information technology environment for students, HOD, faculty , administration . Student Information System a selfserviced environment for students, perspective students and employees; an administrative transaction processing environment for college staff to conduct day to day business;an information environment for all levels of faculty and staff to do reporting,data extraction and information analysis. PURPOSE : * Student Information System is a software application for educational establishment to manage student data.which provides data of new students entered to the college,class time table,notices,exam results and all shorts of other information. Provide better facility to student, faculty, staff, perspective student, administration etc.
* Provides meaningful, consistent, timely data and information to end user.
* Provides vision for senior management to address opportunities for change.
* Update technology infrastructure for more effctive and flexible delivery of new system.
* Promote efficiency by converting paper project to electronic form.
* Effective for administration purpose,better service and cheap.
SCOPE : The scope of the project is the system on which the software is installed i.e the project can store the entire student information and it will work for a particular institute but later on the project can be modified to operate it online.
