I asked Ms. Hill what is the most interesting part of her job? This answer was hard for her because she said that a lot of her job is very interesting but one thing she loved the most is meeting the speaker that come to the school. She is able to sit down and meet with them and have lunch. Ms. Hill is also able to get to know the speaker and later keep in contact with them. I thought this was awesome because she is able to get to know many great people. One thing that she loved at a small university was that small universities are very flexible and a very tight knit, family oriented community. If someone is sick the family is able to take over the sick person job until they come back. After asking her about what was the interesting part I decided to ask her about the polar opposite and that was the challenging part of her job. One challenging part is that being at a small university you have to be aware of the budget. In higher education there may be a very tight budget. In addition to a small budget you also get short handed with the work load. She told me that she goes home many nights and still has a lot of work to do and that it can be tiring because her job really never stops. She told me that “Work is you life in a communication and media job”(Jenny Hill). She is also trying to do a lot with very little and she says sometimes she has to be creative with what she does. I tried to understand what she…

Having the curriculum at a student's fingertips, adds so much more than the textbook could possibly provide the student with. Moreover, adding to the student's overall understanding and insight on the lesson could lead to better test scores and overall grades. So if the use of cell phones could possibly help a student excel in the classroom, the cell phones policy should be reevaluated to better the school. I interviewed my sociology instructor Chelsea Bullard; she is a red head and has a very bubbly personality. In class she smiles and laughs frequently. Interviewing her was interesting because she is a grad student and has been in school for seven years and has two- three more years to go. Her experiences can be helpful for people that are undecided about their major. Declaring a major can be very scary. It’s normal for college students to find a new passion while in college straying from their intended major.…

Last summer, I had the opportunity to be referred to Ms. Sharon Goldmacher by my long time family friend, Ms. Judith Williams. While talking to Judith I was introduced to Ms. Sharon Goldmacher. She started a full-service marketing PR firm specializing in brand development, product launch campaigns, media relations, as well as providing marketing, PR, and promotion services. We have met once, however, I never go to formally speak with her. The interview is mandatory in order to get information for my Basic Marketing Management class, but I ended up learning so much more than what was required. As expected, it was a great opportunity…

However, I thoroughly enjoyed my English classes; from Composition to Literature; I felt a passion which I had never felt before. Participating in an Honors English Literature class became something I relished. We analyzed a novel, developed a power point presentation, lecture, activities, and taught the material in a class. This experience and my semester as a Cognitive Psychology teaching assistant reminded me how much I appreciated the process of…

The faculty interview project was interesting because I had no clue who I was going to interview. Since most of my classes are taught by FIP teachers, my choices were slim. I had the options between my CDFR lecture, my SPED class, or English. I figured my Professor from my lecture hall would be too busy and push me off to a TA and that was not what I really wanted. I moved on down the list and choose English as the perfect choice. My SPED professor already told the class her entire life and my English professor, Ms. Butler was a mystery. She never really told us any background information about herself, all I knew was she was a tough grader.…
