Student Mothers
Student mothers have an advantage over working mothers because student mothers can spend more time with their children. Being a mother is a very rewarding part of life for many women. Sometimes, however, mothers feel like they do not have any time for their own endeavors. As a mother in college, there are so many things to consider, such as when to get your homework done, how to make time for doctor's appointments or parent-teacher conferences, who is going to watch the children and how you are going to pay for childcare, and what time you will have to participate in extra-curricular activities, both as a student and as a parent. Of course, these factors will be different for everyone, as everyone has unique situations and children of different ages that require different kinds of parental involvement. Mothers must also be sure to spend quality time with their children.
Getting to spend more time with their children is important, especially if they have young children. A lot of mothers can miss out on the things their children learn throughout a day. The ability to multitask is a necessity as a student mother with all the things that need to be done in any given day. Being a student mother allows them to be more in control of their schedule. Having the choice to take classes in the afternoons or evenings, even mixing them up or taking online classes, allows for a flexible schedule.
A working mother has to work the schedule she is given. There really is not a whole lot of flexibility there. The advantage of working is that they bring home a paycheck, but as a working mother they will need to find a sitter for longer periods of time which can be costly. A working mother must also keep up with the housework but has a limited time to do that which is after work and most likely after their kids have gone to bed. There really is not much time to spend with their children after a long day at work. Working mothers spend most of their time after work, preparing meals, cleaning, and getting ready for the following day, than their children are off to bed. There really is not much time to play and interact with their kids.
Having more quality time with their children is the most wonderful advantage of being a student mother. Being able to wake up and spend time with their children and have that interaction and not have to worry about running off to work is great. There are stresses that go along with it, as with most other things, but in my own experience I find it a lot easier than being a working mother. I wasn’t able to see my daughter as much when I was working and now that I’m trying to further my education, I am able to choose the class times that are suitable for me and I only need a sitter for a small portion of the time that I needed when I was working. Deciding to return to school after having children is not an easy decision, but if f you keep it balanced, you will excel both as a parent and as a student and with the right planning it can be well worth the effort. Not only does returning to school give a mother a more balanced life, it also benefits the entire family. A happy mom equals a happy family.

During the 1600’s many ideas and values affected the political, economic, and social development of the New England colonies (specifically from 1630 through the 1660’s) . The puritains had a close kinship, for example “working as one man”, and entertaining eachother in brotherly affection. The Puritans were a significant grouping of English Protestants in the 16th and 17th centuries. Puritanism in this sense was founded by some Marian exiles from the clergy shortly after the accession of Elizabeth I of England in 1558, as an activist movement within the Church of England. The designation "Puritan" is often incorrectly used, notably based on the assumption that hedonism and Puritanism are antonyms: Historically, the word was used to characterize the Protestant group as extremists similar to the Cathari of France, and according to Thomas Fuller in his Church History dated back to 1564, Archbishop Matthew Parker of that time used it and "precisian" with the sense of modern "stickler".…

I’m going to discuss online education first. “Adult students are more likely to succeed in online education than a traditional college student because adult students have more maturity and responsibility. A lot of older adults have full time jobs or families and look at college as an education only not a social life” (Online Learning vs. The Traditional College, 2006). One of the benefits of online education is that it provides flexibility especially for the working adult with families; Because of the flexibility you don’t have to rush to work to make it to class on time. You have the flexibility to decide when to schedule school work, but you will still have a deadline. The flexibility can save money as well; you save on gas because you do not have to commute back and forth to school. Another way of saving money is not paying someone to watch your children while you attend school. One last note on flexibility is, your school work can be accessed at any time where there is a computer with internet.…

Working moms contribute financially to the household to pay for bills and the physical needs of the child. They juggle family and personal relationships along with their careers. Some mothers homeschool their children and provide not only nurturing from mothering but also by filling the role of educator.Mothers do not just fill the role of nurturer. Many mothers balance this role along w ith that of provider where they share or solely provide responsibility to their offspring. The typical American mother could be single, a stepmother or guardian to foster children or other children living in the home. Single mothers with one or more children are responsible for the majority--if not all--of the raising, responsibility and financial well-being of their child or children. In some cases, if the father is not involved full-time, mothers assume the role of both parents. Stepmothers are often a part of a typical blended American family. They may or may not be there for the children full-time. Their role is primarily setting rules, enforcing behavior within the range discussed by the parent's primary caregiver or parent. Most treat the child like their own but still may have to seek approval for discipline,…
