Conceive it and believe it, they can achieve it. They must know it is not their aptitude but Their attitude that will determine their altitude.”

- Jesse Jackson The most progressive, articles, inspired and dynamic segment of the country’s population is the student’s community. Students are the backbone of any economy. They are the future of every nation. It is their responsibility to apply everything they learn, practically and thus. We cannot build and apartment just because we have bricks and labourers. There should be someone, in this efficient leader can take a nation forward, that this the reason why we conduct election to choose our representatives. Students have a burning zeal to excel. The power of the youth is like a mighty river, waiting to be channelized. If it is utilized in a constructive manner, progress can be made.

Political experience constitutes an essential part of this learning curve. This period prepare one to face the challenges better and enables one to succeed in life.
The much-hyped dirty, murky nature notwithstanding, politics has the potential to inculcate qualities like general awareness, keeping abreast with current happenings and above all, leadership qualities in an individual. Students who join politics can become good orators. They become assertive by shedding their timidness and
Shyness. Tackling problems, solving disputes and handling crisis situations,

However small or big they may be. Infuse confidence in them it helps them in
Developing skills to deal with people from all background and of all shades of
Opinion.

History is replete with examples of students playing a vital role in overthrowing corrupt dictatorial regimes, freeing their people from foreign yoke, and launching relentless crusades against such evils as social injustice and exploitation.

Plunkitt talked openly about how young men can succeed in politics to get power and how to keep it. He states some mistakes that young politicians make when trying to become successful. One mistake would be that cramming books in your face to learn how to be successful in politics is not the best idea, but doesn’t disagree with attending college. Another mistake mentioned is, “some young men think that the best way to prepare for the political game is to practice speakin’ and becomin’ orators.”(p.8) Plunkitt wants the young men to wait quietly and listen to what’s being said all around before mentioning anything.…

In the world of politics, one of the most important things is who you know. Knowing people will bring a politician success. Chris Matthew stressed one-on-one communication and “retail politics” in this first chapter of his book. He knows firsthand because he was in Washington for many years observing and learning. Not only is it necessary to know as many people as possible, but it is also important to make the person feel that their concerns are cared for on a personal level. Knowing people is not only important in the political world, but it is also important in the real world. The more people you know, the more opportunities will arise for you. In the book Chris Matthew talks about how many popular politicians rose to the top because they made the effort to get to know everyone, especially those who are important. This can apply to any work environment. Networking is a very important part of life. It is important for all of us to remember to treat each person with care because they will potentially be important in our lives.…

I don’t have much political socialization. I have never been around politics that much, until now. I vote of course, and I know the person I’m going to vote for and what he or she stands for, but that is pretty much it. I’m not quite sure, but if I had to say, the majority of my whole family, that including all of my relatives are probably republican. I believe I have been missing out on politics for quite some time now. I find it very interesting now, and I do care to learn about it. After I have completed this course, I will have gained a lot more knowledge on the subject of politics. Since there is no one in my family that ever talks about it, maybe I can be the one to start talking…

Among the troubling consequences of this worldwide educational divide is an inadequate pool of leaders possessing the myriad of skills required for societies to prosper— the cross-cultural knowledge and appreciation, high order analytical skills, and the ethical fortitude needed to respond to today’s global realities. The societies that will prosper in the 21st century will be those that effectively educate the greatest proportion of their population. Colleges and universities provide a wide array of public goods to society to help them prosper; most obvious is the generation of a well-educated citizenry, fully armed with the capacity to provide leadership for the future. Colleges and universities have an almost unique capacity in our country to level the highly unequal playing field created by the large gap between the rich and the poor. This paper describes problems with unequal college access, the social and structural challenges of preparing low-income students for college, and the strategies that successful programs have used to overcome those challenges for thousands of low-income students. The paper concludes with a call to action for organizations and institutions to support existing programs and to develop new college preparation initiatives for talented, low-income…

This means that the graduate has the skills and information of what is happening within the society, politically and economically (UNLV,2018). I believe that in this specific area I still have a lot to learn and I think this is partly due to the fact I still have not taken a political science course. However, what I have learned are citizenship skills which are beneficial because it is important to be an educated citizen that contributes to the better of the whole. This means having the concern for the right and welfare of others and the tolerance and belief in the ability to make a difference. While I might not be a big fan of politics it is something that every individual should have knowledge about and I am glad that it has been taken into account in the UULOs. (162…
