Students Leaving High School Unprepared For College

There are an increasing number of students leaving high school unprepared for the next step in life, college. Many have no idea what to expect when they leave home and enter college. Can a student be prepared for college? This answer may not be easily answered. For many it will depend on their parents, school counselor, teachers, friends, and research. It appears at this time it is not happening for a large number of students. There are many items that contribute to the students being underprepared for college. First issue for many students is the lack of opportunity to take dual credit courses in high school. This is an life experience as well as an education experience that can be very helpful to a student taking a college class while
