Students Weak in English
Title : The poor English communication among students in high education
Today, the problem of vulnerability to master English more serious among students regardless of primary, secondary or university level. More worrisome, the problem spread among students in the high level education. Let us think about why this problem occurs.

Firstly, students seldom practice what they have learned English. The amounts of students reading a material in English is too less. They did not take cognizance of current issues and thought they were too shallow. They have no interest in reading English newspapers and the students are too focused on their interest in the form of reading entertainment. They are more interested in entertainment newspapers like Kosmo and Harian Metro. The students will read English materials only when asked. Normally, a person would feel bored when doing something by force and so the students will quickly get bored when reading any material they do not like.

Apart from that, the cause of weak students master the English language is most of the students to look at the English language only as a subject. They learn English just to pass the exam. They also assume that the English language is a tedious and troublesome. So, they think it is too impossible for them to take advantage of the English language. The students also do not want to train themselves for repeatedly tried to speak in English with each other.

The social background of students also cause the factor of poor English communication among student. Rural students are less prone to the use of the English language. Because of that, they are too limited to English. They also have a little knowledge of English and did not provide an opportunity to interact. Students are also less motivation on the importance of the English language. They are lazy to revise and add knowledge in terms of understanding of the English sentences that difficult. They have no self-confidence to speak and are experiencing problems with the pronunciation of certain words correctly. Most students lack knowledge of grammatical aspect. The simplest example when student master grammar wrote about a topic in the English language cannot write a word.

The students also do not want to "explore" more about the English language. They consider the English language difficult to understand and difficult to use in everyday life. Why university students have thought that was too shallow for this international language while English is very important to lead one towards progress. Most students rely on teachers only. They seem not want to be independent and just wait for the teachers "feed" to their knowledge. Mentality of the students are also still in the status quo and do not want to accept English as the second language.

In view of these problems are too serious, we should think of ways to overcome the weak in English language. The important ways are students should strive to improve themselves. Get guidance from English lecturers when having problems in English, attend English classes and increasing consolidation literature in English and English grammar. Students should also have a mature idea in an issue to facilitate the students describe the contents in detail. Students also must always reading the English books to enhance the proficiency in English. The students do not get too limiting their thinking if they want to master the English language.

As a conclusion, all this started from ourselves. "Where there's a will, there is a way". All deeds and efforts of our lives is driven by our inner thoughts and way to success. (596 words)

Teaching English for young learner is not easy task as it is seen because children are interested in fun activity rather than listening to the teacher who talk in front of the class explaining something that they do not understand. What usually happened in the classroom is that teacher gives so much speech in front of the class and explains many theories and concepts of the language that the children do not understand about. Because of this reason, the children will start to get bored and play with their friends and make chaos. Then, the teacher will surrender of facing chaos in the classroom and get angry until then scold to the children that will make them feel afraid to study. It is not purely children mistake, but it is happened because teacher does not know how to manage the class and keep the children’s attention.…
