How did Nike get its name?
Nike is the goddess of victory in Roman and Greek mythology. Nike is renamed after the goddess Nike because it's said that Nike shoes gives you victory. Yesterday a few of my friends faced a small statue of a headless female angel. We found out that this headless angel was a Greek Godess named Nike who lost her head in battle. The Angels shape was similiar to the logo of Nike. 'We discussed and concluded that that's how the name Nike (the company) was chosen.
