For a brighter future, most of children are expected to study hard not only at school but also at home so they often have a little time to spend for their hobbies like sports are criticized. Some argue that it’s important that children should spend time studying instead of playing sport. While I appreciate the importance of study, I still think that sport are needed Firstly, I’d like to give opinion about how important study is. Nowadays, study is really necessary because study give us knowledge to have good result at school such as having good preparation to pass all examinations. Secondly, you can be more confident if you have a wide knowledge. For examples: when you travail or study abroad in a foreign country, you may be easily get along with foreign people and their culture. That time, your life must be more convenient such as having their help when you’re in need. In other words, they may respect you. Because of how great benefits of study, people especially parents and teachers force their children and students to study hard and deny how good sports are. To children, study is their assignment and they have to complete it. However, what will happen if they study all day?. When they study too much, they must be mentally tired and can’t concentrate on anything. Those can be one of the reasons why their results are getting worse. Playing sports help them to reduce stresses and they must be acquire lessons more easily at school. Being overweight by sitting too long has become a serious problem for over 9 million children. Therefore, sports are good choices for them to relax because sports can balance and improve their health. For example, after playing basketball, my brother said that he felt good and became stronger. As a result, he looks higher than he’d been before and his result in studying is also better. Besides, playing sports help children in building good relationships. They can socialize with their friends and learn new experiences which can’t learn at school. Teamwork is a good example to prove this point. When they work together, they can discuss and achieve their goal more easily than individual work. Despite of the importance of study, I strongly believe that sports are good for children. The problem is how long spend playing sport. Parents should encourage their child to play sports in free time because of its benefits.

Eat. Go to school. Go to practice. Go home. Do homework. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. With playing sports all year round, it never ends, and student athletes are all very familiar with the word ‘stress’”, quotes Sami Von Gober, a three-sport superstar with a superb grade point average, who knows firsthand the difficulties of dealing with everything a teenage athlete has to handle. Although athletics and staying active are necessary in certain children’s lives, overdoing sports and exercise can lead to serious complications. Many athletes have heard it before; “School comes first”, “Homework before sports”, and “If you are too stressed out, you can miss a practice.” But with the threat of missing a game if one misses a practice, or extra conditioning drills if a player is late, many young athletes would choose to dismiss a homework assignment rather than miss an extra hour of athletic coaching to help them excel in their sport. Student athletes have a loss of focus in classes due to thinking about their sport. Will they start the next game? How does that one play go again? Is practice going to be hard tonight? These are the kinds of questions running through an athlete’s head while they should be focusing on math equations or science vocabulary. Another problem that is increasing in young athletes is sleep deprivation, which can be hazardous to a child’s health, ability to play their sport correctly, and attentiveness in class. Lack of sleep can lead to hallucinations,…

Organized sports have a lot of effects on children, whether they be positive or negative. Children are still finding out who they are and what the world is like. I chose this topic because I wanted to know childrens’ motives to do organized sports, and what effects the sports have on the them. I wanted to know the reasons kids start playing sports and, while it may be different for every child, they all had to have had some say in it. Every sport has skills that benefit children such as learning leadership, creating realistic goals they can achieve and learning to get along with others. Children also learn about personal discipline. “What's even more interesting is that kids derive those benefits whether or not they excel at their chosen sport” (Mary Forgione). When I first saw this quote I was really surprised over the fact that children learn these important life lessons even if they aren’t good at their sport. Ever since I had the chance, I played baseball. Why? I don’t really…
