CHAPTER 1
Introduction
No one can fully understand how a student feels every time she got low scores for her tests and examinations. No one can explain why they are neglecting their studies and ignoring the importance of education. No one can interpret their actions beside the people, who are once a student, preferably the students with their same stage. We decided to have our study about the study habits of the students for us to know what are the reasons that lead to waste their time, effort and money in doing none sense things and even considering them as their most priority and their studies seemed to be a garbage thrown to the trash can. We made this research to recognize the different study skills of the student, their coping abilities towards their lessons and how they can develop determination, willingness and openness towards knowledge and progress in themselves. Learning the true essence of this study will give the students the assurance that there is always a reason for their actions, a process to take up and a solution for their misinterpreted behavior.
According to Howard Gardner Theory of Behavior and Intelligence, students possessed different intelligence which affects their study skills. The kind of behavior, intellect and study skills they can determine whether they perform well in academics or not. The study is determinely focused from this theory for it revolves around the student’s behavior and intelligence from which the study can be anchored.
