The sixth-generation Subaru Legacy was introduced for the 2015 model year. The current iteration features a sport front fascia marked by a large, trapezoidal grille, wraparound headlamps assemblies as well as a broad, narrow grille opening flanked by embrasures housing the available fog lights.

A 3.5-inch color display is upgraded to 5 inches in models equipped with EyeSight. Eyesight is a driver-assist package composed of a rear view camera, a rear vehicle detection system, blind spot detection, lane change assist and rear cross traffic alert. EyeSight-equipped models are also outfitted with steering-responsive fog lights, what provide greater illumination in the direction of a turn.
Technology features include one or two USB ports, two 12-volt outlets, and an audio input port. Also available is an upgraded infotainment system with a 7-inch color display screen with multi-touch gesture and voice-activated controls, SMS texting, and iTunes tagging.
Subaru outfits all Legacy models with BOXER or flat-head engines. A 2.5-liter, four-cylinder is standard and is rated at 175 horsepower and 174 foot-pounds of torque. It comes paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) and is EPA-rated at 26/36 mpg city/highway.
Also available is 3.6-liter, six-cylinder engine making 256 horsepower and 247 foot-pounds of torque. This engine is also paired with a CVT and is EPA-rated at 20/29 mpg
