It has been debated since these two cars have been created, about which one is better. Many people have their own opinions and will stick to them no matter what. Each car has their pros and cons, but overall the WRX STi and Evo are both great buys. They are both great cars because they produce a lot of power and torque, drivability of each car is very easy, and they both look good inside and out. First, the STi comes with a horizontally opposed, EJ20 engine that puts out an impressive 300 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. While on the other hand, the Evo comes with 271 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. So, right off the bat both cars are going to get you from point A to point B much a lot quicker. With all this power, the STi can do the ¼ mile in 13.1 seconds compared to the Evo’s 13.4. If one is into speed, that .3 of a second is a huge difference. For stock engines, those numbers are very impressive and will help whether at the track or driving on windy roads. Next, both cars are very easy to drive. Whether launching, drifting, or simply just driving the car, the STi is the better choice though. In the break department, the Evo out performs the STi with much more responsive breaking power. The Evo is also a bit more responsive around curves and turns and almost seems like it handles better than a Miata. With the STi on the other hand, all one needs to do is rev the engine up to the desired rpm, let the clutch out accordingly, and the STi is spinning all four tires and taking off. This is much easier to do than with the Evo’s not so sturdy gearbox. The STi also doesn’t have a bunch of confusing buttons all over like the Evo. One doesn’t need to worry about whether you’re driving on gravel, pavement, or snow the STi is ready to go. Finally, both cars look great inside and out. Stock from the factory, the STi comes equipped with 17’ gold rims, colorful pink STi badges, and a nice spoiler to finish it off. The
