There are known limitations regarding many subfields of forensic science, especially when comparison is involved. These limitations in the field need proofs and standardization on the accuracy of the methodology. While some subfields have shared interest from both the forensic and the general sciences, like genome and drugs, and can be examined outside of the field then brought the concluded theory into the field afterwards, most subfields more specified to the legal field. Thus, when proving the accuracy and error rate of these subfields’ methodologies, researches conducted by forensic scientists are needed. Using their foundation in science and its investigation methods, as well as the data possessed from other cases, forensic scientists are able to conduct scientific researches on their methodology’s accuracy, uncertainty and exact statistical error rates for different variables, which are the main components demanded from forensic scientists but lacked in most subfields. In the foreseeable future, where forensic evidences are submitted and doubted by increasingly critical attorneys, forensic scientists will need their scientific foundation to conduct researches to better prove their theories in the
