According to a college scholarship site, Collegeboard, from 2010-2015 the "average published tuition and fees at public four-year colleges and universities increased by 13%.” Five years before that it was 24% and the percentages would only increase in the future. Because of this, a number of students are finding it difficult to pay for college degrees. I strongly feel that Colleges and universities should have a tuition limit because students are becoming less able to afford college, universities are losing needed funding, and colleges and universities are giving fewer scholarships.…

The constant rise in college tuition is very concerning to many people who are going to college or someone who wishes to go to college soon, like me. It is essential that people realize that every time the price of college rises, fewer people attend college and obtain a higher education. There should be organizations through the government set to help pay for the expenses of college. Increased government funding would give more people the opportunity to get a college degree and not worry as much about debt, which could ultimately help the economy flourish and affect taxes. Every year, more and more students drop out of college for many different reasons, and a major reason is because of the cost.…

A typology that helps HEIs position themselves in the academic market was proposed by Zemsky and Massy (cited in Finn 1998). The mushroom-like proliferation of public HEIs charging extremely cheap tuition and fees but are actually substandard in terms of the quality of academic learning they offer to students is an addition to the concerns. Since these public HEIs offer basically same programs with the private HEIs, despite this aspect on quality, private HEIs are given unfair competition. As a result, there is an influx of students to public HEIs, thus, a greater demand for subsidized higher education and the sad outcome…

This is due to many students choose universities that offer low fees because they can not afford to fund the study. This is shown by Malaysia because Malaysia is not experiencing a seasonal climate and this will add value in terms of financial savings to students because they do not need different clothes according to the season at home in Malaysia. (Professor Badaruddin Mohamed, 2009). It also is in Malaysia, the government has allocated a total of RM232.8 billion for the implementation of all development and welfare of the people. Many policymakers nowadays are confused on what must be done in order to have quality education in a wise way. We all know that the most intriguing and most controversial issue is when we talk about the right usage of the country’s budget. This is not only happening in our country but almost all over the world. Wrong usage of funds may lead to budget cuts in the different departments of the government and one of the affected is education. Due to budget cut, heads of some state universities implemented large class policy. They say that it is the best way to give education for everyone. But, it only became a burden for students and teachers of state universities, sacrificing the student’s academic achievement and knowledge and making it hard for the teachers to provide quality education in a large number of students for just a short period of time.…

Higher education in India has largely been the preserve of the Government till recently in terms of both funding and provision of education. But for this to continue, the Government should continue to be in a position to pour in large sums of money to fund higher education. Today, the Government is unable to find the funds even to keep up its own commitment of spending 6% of GDP on education. There is also a clamour to spend more of what little funding the Government has allocated for education, on primary education than on higher education, and quite rightly so, given that many children don't even get a basic primary and secondary education today. Thus the Government spending on higher education as a percentage of overall government spending on education is only likely to decrease further in the coming years.…
