Success is a journey, not a destination

Have you seen that man on television? Lucent with a luminous grin and fine trivial items lodged in his brandish home also packed with people- the archetype of mainstream success. Or, on the other hand, is that man on television surrounded by forged friendships feeling stressed, rethinking his life choices, and unsure of his meaning in life? I believe the second question reveals truth beyond accepted belief of success. The press approaches success in a way that is false, brainwashing our good people and making them believe that achieving an aim such as having lots of money, being popular, and owning all of the latest technologies and fashions is the key to prosperity. This brainwashes people and can become toxic to everyone seeing that in reality this is not the case. True success depends on knowledge, respect, patience, and appreciation. All of which are traits that by human nature are genuinely challenging to gain, which almost made impossible by the media who repeatedly deceive us, decreasing our independence to increase their net. The mainstream market would like us to believe that living an unnecessary egotistical life, involving nothing but the pursuit of money and fame will bring success and happiness. Unfortunately, this is not true. Money is only paper and is comparable to a new toy—fun while it is crisp and new, but dreadfully boring after a few hours of play. Money may buy convenience and comforts, but a person has to have more than superficial luxuries to create a uniform life. In-turn means money does help make life easier, but it does not make it better. Money cannot make one scholarly or wise (Simha 5). That only comes with hard work and devoted study. Commitment cannot be forged by money. For example, money cannot help one forge a long term marriage. That only comes from love, respect, patience, integrity, and sacrifice. Enormous amounts of money will never teach courtesy or respect. This only comes with a good up-bringing and
