Suicide Case Summary

Patient is a 28-year-old male who presented to the ED with suicidal ideation and a plan to hang himself. Patient stated: "I tried to hang myself 3 days ago, but the branch broke " LEO brought patient into the ED. At the time of assessment, patient endorses feeling suicidal with the same thoughts suicidal thoughts to hang himself. Patient reports the death of his best friend in March, 6 2013 to suicide and conflict with friends over his death as primary stressors contributing to his current distress. The patient reports in the past 3 years he has lost his dad, brother, and uncle as well as his best friend. Patient reports having a history of 2-3 suicide attempts, the last one being a few year ago when he attempted to cut his wrist. Patient
