Summary: A Song Of Ice And Fire
In George R.R Martin’s novel series A Song of Ice and Fire, there is a long standing prophecy about Azor Ahai or “the chosen one”. The legendary figure in the R'hllor faith who led the crusade against the White Walkers (White Walkers are supernatural beings that can reanimate the dead) who invaded Westeros 8000 years prior during the “War for the Dawn”. The prophecy states that he will return with the flaming sword “Lightbringer” to defeat the White Walkers and save the world once more. The theory that Jon Snow is Azor Ahai is the most well supported as he falls under more of the requirements of prophecy than the other candidate Stannis Baratheon.

To begin with, the requirements of the prophecy, Melisandre a priestess of the R’hllor faith states, “When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again

Furthering this is the title of the series itself “A Song of Ice and Fire” as the Targaryen blood in him is the fire as past Targaryens are well known for riding dragons and being resistant to being burnt and the Stark blood in him is the ice from the North. A very strong allusion to Jon Snow being Azor Ahai is when Melisandre states, “I pray for a glimpse of Azor Ahai and R’hllor shows me only Snow” (Martin) as in Jon Snow, this quote heavily supports the claim that Jon is Azor Ahai. During Jon’s stabbing at the wall there is also strong evidence of salt, as some shed tears during the stabbing, smoke because George R.R Martin states, “the wound was smoking” (Martin) and a red star, as a man named Sir Patrick who had the sigil of a star was bleeding heavily. Jon Snow is also already combating the White Walkers with the Night’s Watch the main duty of Azor Ahai. These are the reasons why it is more plausible the Jon Snow is Azor Ahai than Stannis

The Nord was a warrior race and worshiped the sky god Odin. He lived in a castle/city called Asgard where he was the leader of all of the gods and people that lived there. To the Nords it was an honor to die in battle and the only way to get to Asgard was to die in battle. According to Norse mythology in the beginning of time the first world was named Muspell, a place of heat. Beyond Muspell was a dark void called Ginnungagap, and after that was the cold realm of Niflheim. The moisture and ice all came from there and when the cold air mixed with the extreme heat from Muspell; it created a giant named Ymir. One night, while Ymir was asleep he fell into a sweat. Then under his left arm grew a man and a woman. And one of his legs begot a son with the other. This was the beginning of the frost giants. Thawing frost then became a cow called Audhumla. Four rivers of milk ran from her teats, and she fed Ymir. The cow licked salty ice blocks. After one day of licking, she freed a man's hair from the ice. After two days, his head appeared. On the third day the whole man was there. His name was Buri, and he was tall, strong, and handsome. Buri begot a son named Bor, and Bor married Bestla, the daughter of a giant. Bor and Bestla had three sons: Odin was the first, Vili the second, and Vé the third. But Odin was different from the others he was the most popular and after killing…

The central conflict in The Winter's Tale is the violation of Nature on the part of the patriarch of the old generation, Leontes. I believe that in “The Winter’s Tale” the nature of each character and their fateNature in The Winter's Tale is best understood as the ordered character of the universe. This is expressed in a three-tiered, hierarchically ordered structure with the divine at the apex, the monarch next, and the common man at the base.…

Some people may argue that ‘Raja’ Bhoj mentioned in the prophecy lived in the 11th century C.E. 500 years after the advent of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and was the descendant in the 10th generation of Raja Shalivahan. These people fail to realise that there was not only one Raja of the name Bhoj. The Egyptian Monarchs were called as Pharaoh and the Roman Kings were known as Caesar, similarly the Indian Rajas were given the title of Bhoj. There were several Raja Bhoj who came before the one in 11th Century C.E.…
