The objective for that mission is to scope out the landscape and evaluate where the water and power sources are, along with checking for hazardous areas. A second mission will follow in 2024, with the intention to build a propellent depot to prepare for future missions (“Mission Mars”). The rocket ship entering mars features a heat shield that can withstand multiple entries. Entering the Mars atmosphere at 7.5 kilometers per second generates an unbelievable amount of heat. It is important to be able to reuse rockets because reconstructing new rockets is very expensive and time consuming (“Mission Mars”). In 2002, Musk founded SpaceX, and since then several spacecrafts have been launched (“SpaceX”). SpaceX is currently working to further improve the Dragon, Falcon heavy, and Falcon 9. Presently the Dragon is the only Spacecraft that can carry a significant amount of cargo back to Earth. The reason the Dragon is able to carry plentiful amounts of cargo is due to the pressurized cargo located in the capsule, along with unpressurized cargo placed in the trunk (“Dragon”). Falcon heavy is currently the most dynamic and powerful rocket in the world. Falcon Heavy is capable of lifting roughly 64 metric tons, twice the payload of an average spacecraft its size at one third of the price …show more content…
He continues to strive for greatness, and exemplifies evolutionized thinking. He believes that by 2040 humans will have found a way to live on Mars (Conklin). It’s this thinking that shows he does not plan on slowing down progress any time soon. Hyperloop, SolarCity, Tesla, and SpaceX prove his main goal, a sustainable planet. All of his companies and inventions consist of components that will aid the planet in some shape or form. Hyperloop, Tesla, and SolarCity would reduce the amount of fossil fuel emissions that enter the air and create global warming. SpaceX would reduce the risk of overpopulation by providing an alternative planet where human can live. Some people may think Elon Musk has hit his peak in engineering success, but to him, he has only taken his first steps towards an exceptional
