In this journal, I have chosen my friend’s mother, Mrs Weng to be interviewed as she could still recall her process of pregnancy to parenthood.
After Mrs Weng found out that she was pregnant, she was very happy as they finally have a baby of their own. However, her parents were very worried and they were not very much excited as she is the youngest in the family, thus pregnancy seems to be normal to them. During labour, there were many contractions that Mrs Weng felt, which also causes a lot of pain. However, Mr Weng was at home giving his support through prayers due to superstitions. As it was through virginal birth, Mrs Weng got to see her child and she also got to carry it immediately after labour. This also means that every part of the foetus is form and the foetus is waiting to come to the new world.
Mrs Weng also has frequent mood swings, and based on Dr. Gregg (2013), she stated that there are regular fluctuations in hormone levels, which affects one’s levels of neurotransmitters, and it can also be due to hot flashes which Mrs Weng is
