Summary Of A Long Walk To Water
"A long walk to water" by Linda Sue Park, tells the story about two children in two different time periods and both have different experiences in Sudan. There is Salva, who is about 9,10,11 when he starts his Journey in 1985. Salva lives in the Dinka tribe.Then, there is Nya, who is about 12 years old at the time and lives in the Nuer tribe, her time period is 2008. She has to take a long walk to the river, which takes around 8 hours, and Nya has to do it two times a day, meaning she has to spend 16 hours getting water for her family. But Nya doesn't have it as rough as Salva does. Salva has to go threw losing family and friends, where Nya only gains friends and doesn't lose anyone she holds dear. Salva loses his best friend first to a lion,
