Summary Of Ally Condie's Matched
In the book Matched, by Ally Condie, seventeen-year-old Cassia Reyes is Matched, or assigned to their soul mate, to Xander, her best friend, in a world that seems like a utopia. When she sees a picture of her Match on her data card, another face shows, one that the government says is a malfunction. Ky Markham, who is an Aberration, or person not allowed to get a Match, is that person. Cassia gets closer to Ky, and eventually must decide between Ky or Xander. In the end, it is revealed that the government planned all it, even the data card malfunction, but Cassia doesn’t believe that. The book ends in a cliffhanger when Ky joins the military force as a punishment for kissing Cassia, and Cassia’s family must relocate to the farmland because of
