Summary Of An Hour With Abuelo

"An Hour with Abuelo" by J.O. Cofer shows some of the many hardships of life. In the beginning Arturo says "my mother wants me to to spend some time with him, since the doctors say that he doesn't have too long to go now" (Cofer 592) (they are talking about his grandfather), this shows that his grandfather is going to die very soon and he wants to spend his last moments with family.
