Summary Of Chasing Vermeer
The mystery novel Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliett started of with an unsatisfying and monotonous tone, which was boring and very slow at the beginning. Besides that the end had a very big plot twist and turned out to be an exhilarating mystery book. The most entertaining character was Calder Pillay because he was the most odd and funny. Most of the time he is playing with his pentominoes and finds weird but coincidental references. This book is mostly for kids ranged from sixth to eighth grade, mostly because the events go in chronological order and it leaded up to the mystery. Just in general, I suppose that I do find the first book of the novel quite interesting. I enjoy the footnotes that go along with the story, as they add a great amount of depth and character to the story as a whole. Along with that, the footnotes also provide a good insight to the culture, traditions, mythology and history behind the story line.…

There is calm moment in the beginning it just hops right in the story. In fact the roller coaster analogy is great to describe how the book is written. Ender go’s to military school and he gets bullied from the start and makes a name for himself right at the beginning by braking some kids arm, so after that every one starts to put together gangs and start having gang wars in the battle rooms and in the cafeteria. There where lots of twist in this story like ender would always when the war games and he was the commander of army’s and he was just smarter than the older boys. It was pretty easy to fallow the plot if I didn’t zone out but if I did zone out than it was pretty easy to know what was happening because the story would repeat its self. The language in the book was really easy to understand there was a lot of a made up words but it was all right. First of all, his book includes various examples of symbolism, poems, biblical, weather events, quest, political, and many more examples that change the meaning of the story. Without me reading this book I would have never stopped to think what’s the quest of the story, what does this event mean, is there a biblical reference and many more questions. This book has now taught me to look out for certain things to help me effectively read a book better than I did before reading How to Read Literature like a Literature. After reading this book and moving on to another novel allowed me to see the double meaning of the text. In where as if I hadn’t read the book by Thomas C. Foster I wouldn’t have stopped to think and take much consideration to the story. Additionally, this book made it clear to me that there is only one story and one story only. How could that be? Sounds unbelievable right but it right. The same story is repeated but with a new setting, different character names, different conflicts but still the same meaning and maybe the same ending. If it weren’t for this great novel I would have missed out on all the interesting parts of the story and there meaning. All in all, this book allowed me to gain so much knowledge on how to effectively read a…
