The first detail that author uses to develop his main character is he uses daily life example to narrate his friend’s personality. For example, the author writes his friend keeps the changes and give the changes to a homeless man, and the author also mentions his friend is a caring person as his friend show him how to eat a dumpling. One feature that I can imitate for my own narrative essay is I can use a lot of daily life example to illustrate a point.
