In the article, “Waving sadly and yet joyfully goodbye,” Dr Corrigan recollects his summer with his children. Dr. Corrigan first gives a little background. He states that his wife has decided to take up a job. He then says that his wife has been a stay-at-home-mom for about 7 years. His wife has decided it’s time for her to work. This causes the Dr. to spend more time with his kids. He comes to a realization; he hasn’t been that active with his kids. Dr. Corrigan is pretty joyful spending time with his children. His kids seem to appreciate it as well. Corrigan most enjoyed about spending time with children were the developmental milestones he had previously missed, for example he helped his son learn how to tie his shoes.
