Unlike many students Villella did not go to college straight out of high school. Instead, after graduating from high school, she settled down and started a family. She claims that her generation is always working and never sitting still, while this generation an average teen can spend hours doing nothing. Like the article, ‘Generational Differences’ by Dogan Gursoy where he implies people of different generations have a hard time understanding each other. For Villella the characteristic she most looks for in a person is how hardworking they are. In the article the author notes that people of the Generation X see millennials as people who lack ownership and have no sense of urgency. Although the criticism might seem negative she does admire how much technology has grown and how quickly millennials adapt to it. Technology gives us more opportunities than people back then could even imagine. It allows people to work anywhere in the world.
