Some of the main characters in this book are Cassie, Little Man, Stacey, The Walisas, Papa, Mama, Big Ma and more but I'm not going to spoil the book for you. My favorite character will have to be Cassie because she is a lot like me she is so sassy.Another character…

In Richard Connell’s short story, “ The Most Dangerous Game”, the setting plays a key role in the overall plot. For example, encircling the island are big crags which ward ships from the island. “Jagged crags appeared to jut up into the opaqueness,” (3). The crags are dangerous at night to people in boats because of how dark it is. Sailors have to stay away from the island to avoid crashing their…

3.I like the main characters of my novel because all the main characters are the ones who went to the Carving (Mountains) to escape the society and find the rebellion group.I also like how Cassia and Ky take the risk of going out to the Carving knowing that they might be dead or their safe somewhere I can find each other at.They would be my friends because they are very adventurous and they take risks and don't leave their friends behind. When Cassia thinks about leaving the camp she makes up her mind quick because she wants to find Ky but if she thinks long about it she might want to go back to the society.’’If I'm going to run to find Ky,it has to be soon’’, Says Cassia as she thinks about leaving the camp. ‘’Am I going to run? I've thought…
Character is a very important element of fiction because without characters, a story falls apart because readers only care about the plot and other aspects of fiction because of how it affects a character or characters. Characterization is the process with which the writer reveals the personality of a character or characters. Characterization can also help reveal the relationship between characters and how they feel about each other. If a writer knows how to use characterization properly, he or she can really bring the story and characters to life for the reader. “My Kid’s Dog” by Ron Hansen is an excellent example of how characterization can make a story more real for the reader. Through characterization, Hansen reveals the plot of the story, he reveals the animosity between the narrator and Sparky the dog, and he also uses it throughout the story to make the events that take place more vivid for the reader.…
Of Mice and Men really stood out to me and had a meaning behind the actual book. One quote that stood out to me on page two was “They had walked in a single file down the path, and even in the open one stood behind the other.” This particular quote stood out because they stayed together from the beginning till the end. The both had each other's back if one of them did something wrong they would still stay together, if one of them was getting in trouble they would stay together. From start to end friendship symbolized the book because they always were together and only death could separate them. George watched out for Lennie and Lennie watched out for George.…
One of the most prominent being the fact that this is a very philosophical book. Before each chapter are excerpts from ‘journals’ that make you think. They also correlate very closely with the content featured on each chapter. Another reason I enjoyed this read was because of the vivid descriptions. At one point the book describes a scene that was part of the first book, but then shows with excellent word choices the ways that the scene has changed over thousands of years. A third reason is how relatable the characters are. Throughout the book many events occur, and the book allows you to easily tell what each character’s reaction is. Also, the characters are not too perfect, or in other words their reactions are something we may experience ourselves.…
Do you have a person in your life that, without them, nothing would be the same? From your spouse, to your kid’s coach, everyone plays a role. Just like in real life, stories have small characters, that make big differences. Every character in a story has a reason to be there. Without them, important parts of the plot would not be illustrated. We see this in the novel, 1984, with the characters Julia, O’Brien, and Parsons. While all different, they also have similarities.…

A character in this book that is most relatable to would probably be Dagny Taggart. She is the only strong female character in this book, and she has so many qualities that people should aspire to have. Her passion for the locomotive industry and Taggart Transcontinental is unyielding. She has a vast amount of knowledge in this field, and is willing to do anything for it at any cost. This kind of commitment and passion are qualities that many people do not possess nor will they ever experience because they do not love or the drive in what they are doing in order to reach it at that level. People wish and hope to be able to do the things that they want, but most of them do not because of external circumstances that they allow to change their beliefs. Dagny is a no nonsense kind of…
