Out of all of my dreams only one was all planned out and ready to go, but something changed that. I had a dream to attend Blinn College and transfer to Sam Houston State University, and my parents were hooked onto that dream as well.. but now I Just want to go to college...any college and be successful. My dream was obtainable, like I could have done it if I would have chose that specific college over my love life, when I know I could have just went to school anywhere. My parents weren’t too happy about the decision but they learned to live with it because it is my life and I’m an adult. It just got to the point where as long as I was going to college and doing good, as long as I was happy they were.
I Chose to stay where my boyfriend of 5 years lived and got engaged, and chose to live a more adult life with a lot of responsibility that gets hard sometimes...but that’s what I chose to do. I chose to go to vernon college and get the same education I could have gotten at Blinn, i’m getting taught the same things and getting exactly the same level of education. My dream of going to Sam Houston State did not change because My major is still criminal justice. I want to be a Texas State Trooper, but I do have to have an associates Degree.
