I really appreciate the fact that Clear asks his audience questions because by doing this he is makes the readers question why they are not eating healthy. In specific, Clear questions “But if there are so many good reasons for healthy eating, why is it so difficult to actually do?” (Clear). Here, Clear does a nice job with engaging his audience. In relation to me, this question made me realize that if I really want to eat healthy then I can because there are a lot of good reasons for doing so and I would benefit a lot from it. Clear answers this question and explains that scientists make food a certain way so that consumers crave it and want more, and those cravings are mostly for unhealthy foods. Clear explains the two factors that make up the tastiness of food, which are sensation and the actual macronutrient makeup of the food. Clear states that with those two factors healthy eating can be hard. I agree with this on so many levels because I love healthy foods, but sometimes I crave something crunchy and salty, and junk food is exactly what makes up those two characteristics. No matter how hard I try to not slip and eat a bowl of ice cream or a plate of crispy French fries, I will always crave them and end up eating
