Chapter 3 gives the best description of the first part of his thesis. Chapter 3 helps explains why people put off Christianity and turn to science. One of the viewpoints that put Creation and science together is the framework view. The framework view explained by Lennon on pages 44-49. Understanding the Creation story for Christians is important. On page 21 of chapter 2, Lennox writes, “The first obvious, yet important thing to say about the Bible is that it is literature”. He states that the Bible has many forms and styles. He also says that take the literal form of the Bible won’t always work. For example, on page 23, he gives the description of a car flying as a metaphor for driving fast. He then gives a Biblical example, “I am the door.” (John 10:19) to explain the different metaphors throughout the Bible.
