Feeling hopeless toward anything and losing hope in finding a good job or opportunity is the case in any corrupt society that is lead by power iniquities. The worst feeling anyone could experience is feeling that you cannot do something for themselves or family, just the feeling of being helpless, and this feeling is because of not having the required power, or money which will eventually affect the person negatively. Standing away while seeing everyone dividing the jobs, powers, connections, will make the person feel hatred towards everything, toward the injustice, toward other high class citizens, and toward themselves. This shows how powerful people are free dividing the powers, and wealth when the low class citizens are not even able to think about it and have no say; this shows how rich people are getting everything they want, and this explains why corruption rate is high, because it is only about wealthy , and well connected people. The pie in the quotation represents symbolism. The pie is a symbol of power, and when saying “everyone is pulling their pieces out of the pie” (Hamid, 185), this shows how people that are important in the society are dividing the powers and wealth among themselves when the low class people are just watching them do it. Which leads into class struggle; not being able to have a job or money, just because you are not coming from a wealthy family, or not having the required connections is class struggle, which shows Marxist theory.     Before the Industrial Revolution in England in the 1800s, the population of the Peppered Moth (Biston betularia ), was mostly a light color with dark spots which helped them blend in with England’s trees. Though it may seem unfair, typically those who achieve better grades are those individuals who apply themselves and try hard to get out of the situation that they are in if it is bad. Achieve is rewarded while sloth is not rewarded. Society works best this way, because it gives incentives for everyone to achieve, while not rewarding those who do not make and effort or better yet even try. For fiscal 2009 Gap has 2.3 billion in cash which was 29.4 percent of its total assets as compared to 2008 where cash was only at 1.7 billion and 22.6 percent of total assets. Gap also has worked to reduce their debt down to zero by 2010 and they have done so, currently they have no long-term debt and 2.3 billion in cash. The 2009 current ratio for Gap is 2.19 as compared to 1.88 in 2008, and 1.67 in 2007. Gap is increasing their liquidity from year to year while net sales are still decreasing.
