Summary Of Politically Correct Bedtime Stories By James Finn Garner
INTRODUCTION: James Finn Garner is an American writer and satirist based in Chicago. [ ] He is the author of Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, [ ] Politically Correct Holiday Stories, Apocalypse Wow, "Once Upon A More Enlightened Time" and May 2007 "Recut Madness". Garner graduated from the University of Michigan, where he won a Hopwood Award for one of his short plays. Politically Correct Bedtime Stories, Garner's first book, have sold more than 2.5 million copies in the U.S. and has been translated into 20 languages. It spent 65 weeks on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
Politically Correct Bedtime Stories is composed of 13 tales depicting the unprejudiced pursuit of literature from the blemished ancient history. The author, Garner, wrote this book to serve its purpose- “to entrench the patriarchy, to estrange people from their own natural impulses, to demonize “evil” and to “reward” an “objective” “good”.” (p. 3). They've caused me nothing but anguish and embarrassment my whole life” (p. 72). It appears to be judgmental in the physical sense. If chickens could just read and understand this book, they may perhaps feel insulted with the statement. Still, James Garner has proved his argument and

I have to say this a very disturbing article as Lloyd Olsen was very insensitive and cruel to the poor chicken. I believe this statement is very cruel “When Olsen found Mike the next morning, sleeping with his "head" under his wing, he decided that if Mike had that much will to live, he would figure out a way to feed and water him” (City of Fuita, 2015). Although I disagree with what he did to the chicken I have to say it is fascinating that Mike the headless chicken was able to survive for 18 months without his head. The reason I believe Mike the headless chicken was able to live was because as Olsen hit him with the blade he missed the chicken’s jugular vein which is one of the large veins in the neck that supplies blood from the head to…

Diseases, health risks, unsanitary living conditions, and animal cruelty are just a few of the problems associated with the production of poultry products, resulting from the choices of major food corporations. On farms, typically called broilers, chickens are raised in confined farmhouses, often cramming hundreds of chickens. Forcing these animals to live in their own filth, health factors become a major concern. In the span of four to six weeks, chickens are raised in their own feces, an…

    * That statement means that they don’t think of chickens as animals anymore. Right from the moment they’re laid (as eggs), they are thought of as food. I completely disagree with the statement, and this might affect the way chickens are raised by the point of view of the workers and officials (and what have you). If we keep thinking that these chickens are not animals, but are merely food for ourselves and our consumers, the process of making chickens might become more inhumane as it evolves to become even more efficient.…
