Summary Of Same Song By Pat Mora
Only You
Have you ever tried to look good just to impress others or fit in? Well you aren’t alone, in the poem “Same Song” by Pat Mora a parent or guardian sees their 16 year old son and 12 year old daughter trying to look good or be someone they aren’t. The 12 year old girl wakes up really early to put on makeup while the 16 year old boy stays up late to workout. I really enjoyed the tone and images I got when reading the poem “Same Song”.

The imagery, theme, and tone are some of the best parts of the poem to me. Most of all I really enjoyed the images because the story gave me and made me feel like I was part of the poem watching everything happen. Some images I got were a girl looking at herself in the mirror half awake putting

    I feel this poem has impressionistic, decorative, and picturesque imagery. To allow you to visualize what’s going on and experience the emotions being expressed.
