Summary Of Songnan's Second Person Point Of View

Songnan’s use of second person point of view formulates a connection between the reader and the author. The use of the word “you” instantly puts the reader in the story, in Birdies place. When Birdie is in the gym practicing: “When you soar between the 8-foot and 5-foot bars, it’s easy to see how small you are and how long you hang in the air.”(pg.168) this textual evidence puts the reader in the story by the use of the word “you”.Songnan use of second person point of view makes the reader feel and see what Birdie is doing at the
gym.
