Summary Of The Cobras By Tikki Davi
This story is about Rikki-Tikki-Tavi and his courage. He saves the ones that brought him back to full health. Rikki-Tikki almost drowns in a summer storm, but is saved by a British family and nursed back to health. After he is brought back to full health he explores a garden. Then he runs into two cobras. Their names were Nag and Nagaina. The two cobras don’t like the idea of having a threat to their kind in their garden. Nag (one of the cobras) plans to kill the british family that nursed Rikki-Tikki back to health. Rikki-Tikki decides he will have none of that. But before he could get to Nag a Mongoose and Nag fight. The Mongoose then wins. So, then he goes for Nagaina and tries to stop her. Rikki-Tikki gets someone named Darzee

The early chapters focus on developing the major characters and describing the mongose. It is not until halfway through the novel that the fist snake is enconted the book goes into great detail about the family and ricki ticki. The setting and characters are developed in an entertaining and humorous way regarding in the film version ricki-ticki-tavi the settings there are many shots of the bungolo, garden, jungle. This builds anticipation of the snake hunt to come the snake killing scenes are action packed and very tensese much use is made of the dramatic soundtrack as the snake goes in the hole and ricki-ticki-tavi are presented in a colourful, humorous way.
