head she is speechless. Armstrong’s words really hit her when she was on her way to Bayo with
the slave traders, and she realizes the patriarchal system Africa was and how men were in
Control. This is still vivid in today’s world in Africa, where if you can’t cook or do things
“women are supposed to do” you are seen as trash and not capable
