In the novel "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie, Arnold the protagonist in the novel is conflicted with who is tribe is he feels lost and like he is out of place. During this novel Arnold tries to find his way as we all do in life through hard times. Arnold is put into a hard place where he has to decide to leave his best friend the only one he's ever had or go to a school that will better him in the future with people he doesn't look like or even know. While going through all this Arnold also has some pretty devastating things occur during this time of his life.
