She Kills Monsters She kills monsters is about Agnes who loses her family in a car crash, after this incident she tries to discover more about her young sister, Tilly, by playing a Dungeons and Dragon map that her sister created. When I sat down in the Bradley Hall Theater I was expecting a comedy with a serious tone instead it was a dark comedy with a geeky humor. I was not expecting the play to be like that at all and I have to say the geeky humor made it unique; especially knowing that the main theme is that there is more about a person than meets eye, and to give such serious message in a comedy is quite impressive. I enjoyed the play, its humor, the fantastic action sequences and the fascinating characters.

Not counting miles that rest of the characters were great. Both Agnes and Tilly, their character have layers for example, Agnes was more violent and confidence than she was, as for Tilly her hide background and her love for her friends show how complex their characters are. As for the rest, Chuck and Orcus were the comedy relief of the play, and the author and the cast did an amazing job writing and portraying them, they're tempo were perfect. Also, the wizard who always die in every fight scene, even though he has a minor role his character make a stand; we should give the author props, the wizard could have been a cheesy character but the way he was written was perfect, the same can be said to the fairies. As for Lilith, the demon queen, and Kaliope, the elf, were average characters nothing special about them. In addition, there are two segments that stand out. First is the dancing sequence, apart from being the funniest scene in the play, it was well choreographed and the songs also serve to keep the dance sequence surging forward. The other one is a turning point is when the script reveal that Kalipe is a cripple in real life. This scene was emotional to watch because we have seen this girl kick butt they entire play but in the actual world she can not move her legs. Not only is sad but it adds more depth to the characters, primarily Tilly. The author gives us a sense about how Tilly wishes to see the world and how much she loves her friends. Even though the climax was a disappointment, the resolution of the play was strong. After Agnes finished the game, she wishes she could have spent more time with his sister. The approach that the author took in this scene was delightful; the way Tilly’s voice fade away and slowly was becoming Chuck’s voice was touching, and it is seen that Tilly was leaving Agnes forever. At the end, the author gives us a little comedy to cool off by letting the
