There are various things in life that one goes through, and most of our learning comes from childhood. Although, while a kid is supposed to have a wonderful and exciting time. It does not always happen, some kids get mature before their age because life shows them the worst sides of the world at an early part of life. In the poem “Schizophrenia”, it illustrates and gives a particular point of view; in which develops a terrorizing memory.
To start off,the main symbolism in the poem was the house itself, I think it is portraying that not all homes were meant for warm smiles, love and laughter; sometimes it could be filled with abuse, tears, fights, and even deaths. In the 15th stanza it says “ The house divided against itself, which to me, represents an abusive-family relationship. Also, the significance of the home is made up of negative memories, in which it impacted a strong emotions, etc. Over all, the house symbolizes a schizophrenic's head and the fighting family represents the internal conflict that goes on inside.

What appears is that both the characters are angry at one another and are not shy in letting the other person know about their feelings For example in the second stanza it says “It had only begun with slamming doors, angry feet scuffling the carpets”. This would indicated that there was an argument happening in which started to get out of hand. Sometimes, there are no words from what a person can see, for they are completely speechless. Furthermore, in (Line 1), illustrates that, although the person diagnosed with schizophrenia was probably suffering, it was the family, as a whole, that suffered the most. “The roof tiles flying off…” (line 18), in this line, the family, much like the house, is falling apart.
