These agendas were mostly gang affiliated, smoking, or drinking. I was considered the outsider because I did not participate in any of these negative activities. Teens would smoke before, during, and after school. Smoking was something that everyone had in common with each other. My peers were corrupted and they constantly tried to corrupt me. Sports were the most exciting during high school. Where I live, football that was the dominant sport. My family constantly tried to convince me to play football just because they thought it would be best for me. They would try to get me to try out for the team saying things like, “you have too much free time”. Eventually, I gave in and played my freshman year of high school not for me, but, to stop them from complaining. After 9th grade I stopped playing because I was playing for someone else and not for me. Besides when I did play, I did not take the sport seriously because I didn’t enjoy it.
