There is two parallel – running storylines, so it can be a difficult text to understand. This text is about the Oates family who is going on a Jaunt. The family is waiting in a room and the children’s is very nervous, so their dad Mark Oates tells a story. Mark Oates tells about how the jaunt arose and how it works. He tells that it was Victor Carune who was the inventor of The Jaunt and he made a lot of experiment to complete his work. But the son Ricky is too curious about the jaunt and makes a stupid move.
