This respect could be based off of Christianity or Panentheism. There is no strict rules on how to respect the planet and there should be some put in place because it is the body in which we are living. Bennett talks about demystification which is an ecological stance where individuals take care of themselves and others alike. These ways of thinking can be used to place restrictions on what to grow or what pesticides to spray. These can also be used to form a new sense of political morality into the fabric of the American Nation. There will always be a sense of non-identity or a place for not knowing everything.
