Summary: Should Government Fund Technology
Do you ever watch movies were people invent something and it changes the world? What if the government made these inventions a reality? I think the government should fund technology that will help the military and change the world.
The first question is, what would the government fund? The government could fund technology.“We need to start looking at how to get quantities and lower risks.” Frank Kendall. some things for technology could be satellites. They could help the military find possible enemy locations and their own. Another thing the government could make more technology for is drones, and not the hobby, RC drones. The drones that can survey the land and have weapons. The government could also make better weapons. The government could make better fighting vehicles. They could make planes faster and stealthier. For tanks, boats, and planes there is BAE Systems’, electronic camouflage system, Adaptiv. It camouflages whatever it is on. The military could also use better guns. They should have better scopes, vision and have higher fire power to kill instantly. They could also fund inventions. have thermal, ghost,night vision etc. Another invention could be unmanned vehicles. They could be remote controlled and can be used to spy. It could have weapon system for combat.
The second question would be, how would the advance technology help the military?
It could help with protection. Protection for military men would be armor. This armor could be a strong metal covering. Someone could suit of metal, something strong like titanium. Better protection for vehicles would be better armored with camouflage and stealth. Better advantages would be advanced weapons. Like guns that could kill in a shot. Another advantage would be better armor. It could be made of metal and big enough so a person can fit in would need to be strong metal. Another way technology would help the military is finding enemies in faster time. Radar could help find enemy location so it could be infiltrated. Drones could be useful to because they could fly far, they are not manned, and they have
cameras.
There are also downsides to technology. One downside is that technology can be hacked. Vehicles can be hacked and sent to spy on us or take the vehicle and use it against us. Drones can also be hacked and sent to spy on us or attack us with weapons. The cost could also a downside. For example the cost of the material may be too much. Also there may not be enough material available to make a invention. It also may cost too much to make material and there might not be enough material to make the technology. A downside would be, at what cost would the technology be made? Taxes could be a way for the technology to be made. The taxes might increase or more might be added. The government could spend more money to pay for the technology. Also people might invent things that bad people could invest in. That are the downsides to the technology.
That is why I think the government should fund military technology. I have a pretty good idea of what the government could fund. I also understand the downsides to funding military technologies too.
